Real Wedding: K + J

There’s never anything from Brandon Kidd that I don’t love (sorry…can you handle that double negative?). Among the many things I dig about this wedding is the vintage 1930’s Lincoln that they drove away in – I’m totally a fan of renting a vintage car! Waaaay better than a limo. It’s a splurge I’m definitely gonna go ahead and vote for.

Be on the look out for the yellow claw foot tub. It has got to be a mere coincidence that it was there…right? Right? Also, be sure to check out Jennifer’s info and the vendors listed! Thanks Brandon for sending over the goods!

From Jennifer, the bride:

  • The jam jars, which also serve as the place cards, contain homemade pomegranate jam made from the pomegrantes at Kevin’s grandpa’s house where we took pictures under the tree. We had a fun jam making party with my family and Kevin’s. (Kevin’s mom’s initials are JAM and my married initials are going to be JAM!)

  • We saved oversized restaurant cans from my work and Kevin repurposed them into our table numbersOur food was provided by Green Street Catering in Pasadena – I’ve known the owner’s daughters since high school – they cooked the tri tip and chicken on site, and are famous for their zucchini bread and Dianne Salad
  • Probably the best detail of all: my dress has pockets (!) and the full skirt comes off to reveal the mini dress underneath

I spy: the backdrop to the gorgeous dessert table by My Sweet and Saucy is this DARLING shower curtain from Anthropologie! Make it yours!

Congratulations, Kevin and Jennifer!

  1. Okay, I don’t know when this bride transformed her amazing gown into an adorable little tea dress, but both are AMAZING! I’m loving the cute details, too, as I’m a huge sucker for anything DIY fabulous.

  2. Everything about this wedding is beautiful and well thought out! I love it!

  3. LOVE that she used a shower curtain for the dessert table backdrop, and those table numbers are fantastic!

  4. Lovely wedding all around. Agree with Erin, the ruffled dessert table backdrop is an inspired choice!

Thank you so much for featuring our wonderful wedding! I so appreciate the kind comments – a lot of thoughtful planning and consideration went into all the DIY projects to make sure our wedding felt personal and it turned out even better than we had dreamed! My dress was designed by Martina Liana – the full silk skirt unzipped to reveal the sassy mini dress underneath. Cheers!

  9. This wedding is gorgeous! The details, the dress and the photography is just stunning! Love the color combo, too!

The bride really brings beauty to a wedding more than anything. In this case, the bride has a fine air. I think it’s because of her petite frame? Or how good she is in posing?

    I don’t know but I love this.

  11. Beautiful wedding with gorgeous and unique details!! The photography is amazing!
